Lagunitas Loopfest
Details
Looking for some gnarly hill training, or just a fun event to ring in the New Year? Join us for the inaugural Lagunitas Loopfest! Starting at the Lake Lagunitas parking lot in Fairfax, we'll alternate clockwise and counterclockwise loops to and from Tam's East Peak. Each loop is 5 miles and has 2,000' of elevation gain. The goal is to do as many loops as you can before the parking lot closes at 5:00PM ... or just one loop ... or the fastest loop ... or the slowest loop. Really, it's up to you. The group will start at 7:30AM, but anyone is welcome to join at any time. Because we're alternating directions, latecomers will run into the rest of us along the way.
You can find more event details here. We ask that you RSVP on the Eventbrite page, as we're sharing this event on multiple sites and want a single RSVP list. However, if you have questions, feel free to message the organizers or post a comment through Meetup. The Eventbrite page also allows participants to contribute to the Tor de Lucas scholarship, which helps some lucky runner compete in the Tor des Geants. Donations are entirely optional but welcomed.
