The Amalfi coast is a rugged 60km stretch of mountainous coastline about 1hr south of Naples which combines steep terrain, well defined paths and possibility of staying overnight in various picturesque villages.

We are thinking of going there in late May 2026 (but we have set the date to sometime in 2035 so it is clear this is still a tentative plan)

We are considering two alternative plans

a) 3 day run with 2 overnights following a defined line along the mountains

(likely sleeping in Maiori and Bomerano)

b) staying overnight in 3 coastal villages and doing 4 circular runs getting up and down each day

3 to Choose out of the following Maiori/Minori/Atrani/Amalfi/Ravello/Bomerano/Praiano/Positano

The plan is in both cases to spend 4-5 hours on the trail every day with the rest of the day available for general tourism.

Basic physical requirement: being able to trail run 15-20 km with 1000-1200 metres of ascent and descent, and that on 3 or 4 consecutive days but at a leisurely pace.

How to get there
Naples Aiport - bus to Salerno, or bus to Naples trains station and train to Salerno
Salerno-Amailfi airport (less flights)

Pending logistics
- Transporting our luggage
- Places to stay

Next steps
Gather small group and then decide on further logistics via whatsapp

Not a guided tour but a joint effort.
