What we're about

Running Mamas is a casual but dedicated group of awesome moms who want to get out with/without the stroller and run,walk, hike, socialize, inspire one another, and make new friends! All levels of experience are welcome! We also have a great group of pregnant mamas who inspire us all by coming out and continuing to walk throughout all stages of their pregnancy, with the goal to get back into jogging/running as soon as possible. Running Mamas is all about striving to better ourselves and each other, feeling good about our bodies, and above all else, making running fun! So whether you’re new to running, or a seasoned pro, if you’re looking for a great group of moms to run/walk with, we hope you check us out! And, as every runner/athlete knows, you can’t help but become great friends with those you train with! So that's what Running Mamas is all about: we are a meetup group for mamas and mama's-to-be, with all levels of experience and running backgrounds, who want to have fun running and socializing together. We encourage all members to get involved! We want member’s input and participation, both with suggesting runs, as well as organizing runs and meetups as you feel inspired. Plan a run at one of your favorite parks/trails in or around Portland, and/or suggest fun-runs/races to train for (3,5,and 10k’s, as well as 1/2 and full marathons!). The idea is to challenge ourselves appropriately while supporting one another to get out, get in shape, and reach our goals!
