Two Years of Rust in Production

At MFT Energy we have been using Rust in Production for 2 years. It drives execution of algo-trading against energy trading exchanges.
Experiences have been made. These will be shared.

Making UIs Modular With ddui

Monolithic Front-End frameworks are great tools for quickly making applications... until your needs conflict with their architecture. Modularity or composability are typically afterthoughts in the design process, which complicates efforts to modify or reusing existing codebases. What if instead there were crates that could be composed together for creating 2d UI applications?
This talk will explore my attempt to answer this question by creating ddui- a modular set of crates for making applications and audio plugins that work on desktop (both in standalone or child windows) and web. I'll touch on each crate briefly, and explain some of the thoughts and philosophy that went into piecing them together.
I'm a software developer focusing on realtime audio processing, UI, and command line utilities. I've been writing primarily in Rust for about 5 years.

This meetup will be at Margrethepladsen 4, 3, 8000 Aarhus (bottom floor of Scandinavian Center).
