About us
Rust on Embedded — Meetup
A meetup for people writing Rust on small hardware: microcontrollers, single-board computers, and anything else with tight memory and no operating system to lean on.
Each session has two short talks and plenty of time to talk afterwards. Topics we cover include no_std development, HALs and driver crates, async on bare metal with Embassy, debugging with probe-rs, real-time constraints, and getting Rust into existing C codebases.
Bring a board if you have one. We usually have a table set up for people who want to show what they are working on, and someone is always happy to help if you are stuck on a toolchain problem.
Who it's for: anyone from complete beginners to people shipping Rust firmware in production. If you have never written a line of Rust but work with embedded systems, you will still get plenty out of it — and the reverse is true too.
Details: [date and time] at [venue]. Free to attend. Doors at [time], talks start at [time], and we head to a nearby pub afterwards.
Want to give a talk? Message the organisers — we welcome short talks of 10 minutes as much as full ones.
