Rust NYC - Come learn about Rust!

Details
Hello Rustaceans!
The Rust NYC meetup group is back! We're planning on hosting bi-monthly meetups featuring great talks from great Rust hackers. If you have been hacking on Rust, have tried Rust, or are just interested in learning about what Rust is about - this event is for you.
We have three great speakers lined up for you this time around.
Efe Alatan, systems architect, on Getting up and Running with Rust!
Robert Balicki, engineer at Jetty, speaking about web development in Rust! Presentation (https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1qQ6J-ptixlsIK2143IWyDewfAn6AlES2rY9wDO8gEZM/edit?usp=sharing)
Apoorv Kothari, speaking about Ownership, the Core Principal of API Design! Rust's most distinguishing feature is the concept of ownership. It is a novel feature that allows Rust to achieve the trifecta of speed, safety and concurrency. In this talk, Apoorv traces the motivation for ownership, what it is and why it should be one of the core principals when you are designing your API.
Apoorv is an engineer at iHeart Radio where he currently works primarily with Scala, Kubernetes and distributed systems. http://www.toidiu.com

The meetup starts at 7:00pm, presentations start at 7:30pm. Hope to see you there!
Who is welcome: Everyone is welcome! Never written a single line of Rust, but interested in the language? Don't worry, many of us are just starting off. Been hacking on Rust for a year? We want you to here!
Call for participation: Interested in web development in Rust? We want to code our website entirely in Rust, front-end and back-end. We're looking for a group of volunteers to take that on!
Even if you can't make it, drop us a line! We'd love to hear from you.
We're looking for speakers for future meetups! If you would like to speak, or know anyone you think would be a good speaker, please message us!
Want to be involved in Rust or in Rust NYC? Message us. We want you to be involved as well.
Hiring Rust developers? Message me, and we'll give you a shoutout at the meetup!

Here at iHeartRadio, we strive to connect fans with their favorite music and radio. We do so by developing a product that distributes the best live radio stations from across the country, offers Artist Radio (algorithmic stations based on a seed artist/song that the user selects), Podcasts, and most recently two new on-demand tiers of functionality, iHeartRadio Plus and iHeartRadio All Access. In March we celebrated our 100 millionth registered user. We are always on the lookout for innovative people to join our team: http://jobs.iheart.com
