# We Are Moving to Göteborg Socials and Afterwork Club! A New Chapter Together

Dear Rust Göteborg members,
Great communities begin with shared interests, but the connections we build along the way can lead to so much more.
Rust Göteborg has brought together people who share an enthusiasm for the Rust programming language, software development and technology. Now, we would like to invite you to take those connections a step further.
Rust Göteborg will officially close on 30 November 2026, and we warmly invite everyone to join us at Göteborg Socials and Afterwork Club.
Why join the new community?
As developers and technology enthusiasts, we know that some of the most interesting ideas and opportunities emerge when people from different backgrounds come together.
By joining Göteborg Socials and Afterwork Club, you will have access to a larger community of over 4,500 members and a wide range of opportunities:
💻 Expand your professional network: Connect with people working in technology, engineering, business and other industries. You never know where your next collaboration, career opportunity or inspiring conversation might begin.
🤝 Meet beyond the code: Enjoy meaningful conversations, make new friends and connect with people who share your interests beyond programming.
🌍 Discover different perspectives: Meet Swedes and internationals from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds, exchange ideas and broaden your horizons.
🎭 More events and experiences: From afterworks and casual gatherings to cinema, cultural activities and social evenings, there are many ways to connect outside the workplace.
💡 Turn connections into opportunities: Sometimes the most valuable professional relationships begin with a simple conversation over coffee or at an afterwork.
What happens next?
Rust Göteborg will remain open until 30 November 2026, after which the group will close. We encourage everyone to join our new community before that date so we can stay connected.
