This group is designed for occasional meetings in different/diverse casual settings for those who relocated from other parts of the country or even world to good old RVA...We all have interesting stories to share and unique perspectives...Considering the amount of people I have met who migrated from else where I think starting a Transplants Group was way over due.....Even If you have lived in RVA entire life feel free to join and share your story all are welcome to join but require a facial photo of you not your dog, house plants, flowers or cactus...As it is you I need to identify at events...TY for joining

Exploratory Walk Forest Hill Park to Belle Isle and back 3.5 - 4 miles

This will be an Exploratory walk from Shelter 1 parking area to Belle Isle Via Buttermilk trail and back. I have not walked this area in many years, I will be exploring it to see if it I would like to make it a reoccurring event. I am looking for a few brave souls to join me in the endeavor. We will meet near shelter 1 we will proceed through forest Hill Park to the Buttermilk trail
we cross over to Belle Isle do the trail loop and back to Forest Hill Park. We will start 900am to avoid heat of the day. Bring Water Hiking shoes/boots optional walking stick. RSVP only if you dare at your own risk.

Candle Lit Ghost Tour along the dark shrouded streets of Colonial Williamsburg while hearing stories of the lives, legends, and deaths of those who still haunt the town.Meet in front of The Cheese Shop at 410 Duke Of Gloucester St. at 7:15. Tour starts at 7:30 promptly. There is a $15 CASH fee per person. Please limit to 1 guest. Well behaved children are welcome. This is a co meetup with We Cycle, Rock, etc.

After our exploratory walk I have decided to make a Rockwood park a reoccurring event. Starting event at 900 am. Changing meet location to area closer to trails and of course a restroom in vicinity. We will meet in the large center parking lots
photo has exact location. We will walk to the White trail then connect to the Orange and blue trail. Stopping occasional for viewing wildlife
and other photo worthy views. Starting event early due to potential heat. Please bring water snack and weather appropriate gear. Trails are paved, gravel and dirt some gentle inclines. Event is at your own risk. C you there!

Walk Crump park lunch at Con Salsa

After a couple of walks I have decided to make this a reoccurring event. Per advice of event host Erin ( local resident) will be trying a new local restaurant afterward for lunch optional. Restaurant offers authentic Venezuelan cuisine. Con Salsa located at

Starting at 900 am to beat the heat of the day. Will walk the perimeter trail for a total of 1.8 miles 2x. Will try to vary it a bit or walk it in reverse. Also beginning with a quick visit to the animals first. The trail
is made of dirt gravel with a few gentle inclines and declines roots and pine needles. Bring bug spray sunblock and plenty of fluids. Event is at your own risk.
