What we’re about
A frequent meetup with meditation, yoga, music, and more. This is the continuation of a community that started in Arizona, helping people from all walks of life step outside their comfort zones, drop labels, make lasting connections, and learn about themselves to create healthier and happier lives. You will notice that a lot of the events listed here have only one or two sign-ups, and that's because people show up regardless! Drop in, you won't be alone!

RVA Peace Dances + Nourishing Potluck (2nd Saturdays at 4:00 pm)
First Unitarian Universalist Church, 1000 Blanton Avenue, Richmond, VA, USYou are invited.... to experience Dances of Universal Peace**. Follow the link above to get a feeling for this embodied practice that honors the world's wisdom traditions and healing and celebration together in community!
We meet in our circle on mostly 2nd Saturdays, September through June! (In July and August we are on vacation and encourage everyone to participate in a DUP related retreat/event.)
Our Richmond, VA (RVA) Dances of Universal Peace Circle is meeting in person on mostly 2nd Saturdays of the month, 4:00 - 6:00 pm at First Unitarian Universalist Church of Richmond, followed by a simple nourishing potluck meal. We welcome you to join us and invite friends! Please arrive a few minutes early, to settle into the space. This allows us to start on time (or close to it) at 4:00 pm. Thank you!
We envision the shared potluck meal being quite simple, without the need to reheat casseroles, for instance. There is a microwave and sink in a kitchenette nearby our meeting room, but not a full kitchen. We will provide a pitcher of filtered water and paper plates, cups, silverware. We would love it if you brought your own reusable dish/bowl/cup, etc.!
Location/Parking:
We're so excited to share these moving interfaith embodied prayers with you at First Unitarian Universalist Church of Richmond (1000 Blanton Ave. across from Byrd Park, adjacent to the Carillon). There is on-street parking and a small gravel parking lot behind the church.
A few logistical things:
- If you feel safer wearing a mask, please do wear one. We will have a few on hand, along with hand sanitizer in case you would like to use either.
- If you are not feeling well or have been exposed to anyone who is or was symptomatic during the past week, please stay home and take good care of yourself and don't risk infecting others. There are lots of viruses floating around.
- Please bring your water bottle. There's a water fountain in our room where you can refill from.
