"A Closer Look at The Urantia Book: What It Is" by Michael Hanna

Have you ever wondered about this strange and mysterious Urantia Book? In this lecture presentation Michael takes you on a cosmic journey offering an overview of the basic themes and structure of The Urantia book.
The Urantia Book was written “to expand cosmic consciousness and enhance spiritual perception” of the peoples of Urantia, our planet. The heart of its teachings are about God, the universe, and our relationship to both. It reveals our origin, our purpose, and our divine and eternal destiny, “the age-long process from animal to angel, from angel to spirit, from spirit to God.”
Authored by celestial beings, The Urantia Book is vast in scope, 2097 pages, wherein it reveals Urantia as the cosmic name for our planet and presents itself as the 5th Epochal revelation of truth to our world.
From beginning to end, you will discover a multitude of ideas that are new, often startling, but always reassuring. You will discover concepts that transcend our human viewpoint, point you towards your true spiritual nature, and settle you forever in a secure and loving relationship with God.In exquisite and rich language it covers the whole cosmos across time and space. It offers an intricate and sweeping narrative that blends science, philosophy, history, cosmology and religion seamlessly into a unified cosmic framework. It details the start of life on earth and portrays life as a purposeful journey where each soul is invited to evolve toward divine perfection and participate in the eternal adventure of the cosmos, and a lot of other things in between.

Michael Andrew Hanna has been reading The Urantia Book for nearly fifty years. Michael was born in 1950, in McKeesport, Pa. He graduated from San Francisco State University and Lincoln Law School. He has written three books of short stories and is a ghostwriter of life stories. Michael has three children with his wife Donna for 47 years and lives in Ashland, Oregon.
