The Tale of Two Ashland Houses- Down the History Rabbit Hole by Peter Finkle
Rogue Valley Metaphysical Library, 1757 Ashland St, Ashland, OR, USFREE ADMISSION – 1757 Ashland St., Ashland, OR. One mile west of I-5 Exit 14.
NOTE: Rescheduled from Feb 17, 2026 (postponed due to snowstorm.)
Do you like Ashland, Oregon history? Join Peter Finkle in a journey “down the history rabbit hole” to explore stories of time and space; of local, state, and national civics; of pioneers and wealthy folks; of near-death and rebirth, both physical and metaphorical; of perseverance, inspiration, and happy endings.
All of these stories are connected with two Ashland houses:
#1: The house on Scenic Drive that introduced me, through a series of surprises, to my grandmother’s namesake!
#2: The house “with 11 lives” that was built on East Main Street but is not there now.
Local historian Peter Finkle offers Ashland walking tours, photo-filled presentations to local groups, and the premiere blog and website about Ashland; WalkAshland.com. Discover Ashland secrets even locals don’t know.
Peter’s walking tours cover Ashland history, art, culture, theater- and Haunted Ashland stories.
An Ashland resident since 1991, Peter also writes for Ashland.news and other publications.

Did you know? Human Trafficking, or human slavery, happens everywhere. The Interstate 5 corridor through Southern Oregon is a hotspot in the nation. From labor and sex trafficking to massage parlors and child exploitation- our Rogue Valley communities are especially impacted.
Over 20 million people are trafficked around the world at any moment in time. How it happens might surprise you. Less than 5% of trafficking cases in the US result from kidnapping or abductions, for example.
This third-annual, two-day, deep-dive educational and networking summit is for anyone interested in getting a better understanding of the true realities of human trafficking in Southern Oregon, the nation, and the world- and what can be done to stop it.
Let’s come together as a community to learn how to support our vulnerable populations at risk of being trafficked. Hear from local survivors, law enforcement, concerned citizens, and national leaders, and engage with the many local agencies and organizations exhibiting their services.
Whether you’re a professional in the field, a community leader, or someone who simply refuses to stand by, the 2026 Disruptors Summit will inspire, challenge, and empower you to make a difference. Reserve your spot today, because ending trafficking starts with informed, united, and determined communities.
Presented by Disruptors Org, RVML Community Resource Center, and Architects of the New Paradigm Conference Series

Systemic Constellation Work: A Transformational Path to Open Our Hearts
Rogue Valley Metaphysical Library, 1757 Ashland St, Ashland, OR, USFREE ADMISSION – 1757 Ashland St., Ashland, OR. One mile west of I-5 Exit 14.
Systemic Constellation Work: A Transformational Path to Open Our Hearts and Free Our Spirits
Constellation work is a process that can help uncover hidden loyalties: places in our lives where it’s difficult to move forward due to unconscious ways we stay entangled in the wounds and limitations of our family lineage.
These entanglements can contribute to us feeling alone and disconnected from ourselves, each other, and the land that sustains us. This work has the potential of transforming this fundamental sense of separation into an embodied knowing of how connected and interdependent we really are, while opening our hearts and our perspectives. It also encourages us to reclaim our Ancestors. We can call upon them to support and guide us.
There are many different ways to utilize Constellation Work and experience the magic and healing that unfolds from this work enabling us to live, and love, more fully and freely.
Susan Schlosser has been guiding and helping people find their way in her private practice in Ashland for over 30 years. She has been a student and practitioner of Systemic Constellation Work for over 20 years, and has integrated this modality into her practice. In addition, she has led Nature Constellation groups nationally and internationally in such places as the Grand Canyon, the Coastal Redwoods, and more. She finds her passion working with individuals, couples, families, and groups…relationships of all kinds, including our relationship with nature- our True Nature and the natural world.
