Day Hike (2A) Tuttletown RA (Delta-Sierra Group)

It’s the Heron Point Trail, Redtail Trail, and Fox Ravine Trail Loop at Tuttletown RA, a BuRec park located at New Melones Lake near Sonora. This hike features oak woodlands and oak savannah, lake views, well-maintained trails and park amenities. 7-1/2 miles, 700 ft elevation change, gentle uphill/downhill grades. Bring lunch and liquids. Trails mostly exposed; sunscreen is advised. No dogs please (park rule). Rain cancels. Leader keeps a slow pace with frequent stops. Gear list and other information will be provided after approval.
