Make your day pass reservation now - https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/guadalupe-river

This hike will be about 7 miles and include two river crossings and hiking through some rugged terrain. The river is low but we may still be crossing a point with at least 2 feet of water and some flow. We will start from the main river access area so when we are done you can stay to picnic and swim all day if you like.

HIKE REQUIREMENTS:
1. Be prepared to cross the river multiple times.
2. Wear shoes with good traction that you can walk through water in.
3. Be prepared to get scratched, poked and dirty. We will move through some tall grass and thorny plants.
4. No children or pets.

WHAT TO BRING
Required: Carry Water
Recommended: Waterproof bags for keys/phones, sunblock, snacks, insect repellent, swimming attire, change of clothes & shoes.

WHERE TO PARK & MEET
Park & meet in the Day Use Area next to the river in the main park (see photos for map). This is a few miles up the road after you enter the front gate. We will meet near the large restroom/changing rooms.
