Medina River Natural Area

Details
Let's hike Medina River Natural Area.
Medina River Natural area is on the southwest side of our fair city. Calling all Southsiders!
This will be a 5-8mile hike at a moderate pace (3- 3.2mph). We will stop briefly at various spots alongside the river as we wander the trails.
This is a nice quiet little park with paved walkway to begin with and low land dirt and gravel on the 2nd half. There are large trees with lots of shade along the way.
Depending on rainfall (does not seem to be an issue lately), areas of the trails may be covered in water where getting water in your shoes is unavoidable, and in lower areas by the river it can be muddy. Be prepared with good tread and possibly a change of shoes before you get back in your car.
Its south Texas, so carry plenty of water, wear shoes you can hike in, and dress appropriately for the weather.
Things happen, so if you can’t make it to the hike, please update your RSVP.

Required: Water
Recommended: Sun block, snacks, insect repellent.
