Hike at Government Canyon State Natural Area - Not a beginner hike

**IMPORTANT - You need to have a day entry pass issued specifically for the park, for the date and time of entry. Having an annual TPWD pass and expecting to show up and use that to gain entry will not work. Your profile picture should reasonably identify you as the attendee and your actual name, otherwise you will be disenrolled. Group picture profiles, or those with pics of animals and objects are not acceptable.

Go directly to the park and meet at the park office and restrooms near the flagpole at the main headquarters (covered porch area), no later than 10:50 AM as we will begin the hike at 11:00 AM. Please give yourself plenty of time to get in the park as they are a little slow at the entrance.

We will hike about 5 miles on unpaved trails, with places for people to turn for shorter hikes. Bring water. Dress appropriately for the weather. Some parts are rocky so please wear good hiking shoes. This is not a BEGINNERS HIKE, if you are new to hiking do not sign up for this event.

The route is mostly shady during this time of the day.
