Hi, it’s Vanessa, your ENLIGHTENMENT host.
This salon talk is dedicated to the most delicious of human endeavors**: the art of the summer meal.**
Let’s gather to dissect some very important things: the perfect tomato sandwich, the philosophy of the backyard grill, and the proper sugar-to-citrus ratio for the best lemonade.
Cooking is personal, communal, and filled with histories. So bring a summer dish, a copy of the recipe, and the story behind it—whether it’s rooted in deep family lore or a new kitchen success story. We’ll share food and talk about why these dishes matter to us. Everyone leaves with something new to make and a closer connection to the casual cooks around us.
Tickets are $5 (not inclouding Eventbrite fee) to cover salon costs. I’ll bring two of my favorite summer dishes (something with tomatoes; something else with raspberries and peaches) along with some drinks; BYOB summer food and drink encouraged.
