Sacramento Art Classes Meetup Group

Join me on Tuesday mornings for skill building, techniques and color theory. Paint simple works from the comfort of your own home. 90-minute ZOOM classes allow us to be "virtually" together while being socially distant. Instruction will include demonstration, work time and live Q&A. You will be able to show me your work in progress and ask questions when you need to. You will also receive a recorded video of our weekly classes so you can review techniques we learned in class.

In the first week's class, we will begin the painting as I introduce new techniques. Each class highlights watercolor skills such as creating texture, mixing and blending. We will discuss materials, paints and paper. The remaining classes will be spent working on the painting and the skills taught in the first week will be reviewed and practiced as the painting is completed.

To limit tech difficulties and lag time, these sessions will be limited to 15 participants per class. Due to the nature of this type of instruction, I cannot offer refunds for missed classes, but remember, you will receive a recorded copy of each week's class to view at your convenience.

Acrylic Paints -- Burnt Siena, Van Dyke Brown, Titanium White, Jenkins Green, Green Gold, Neutral Tint
Brushes -- 1" and 1/2" bright, flat or filbert, #8 or 10 round, and a smaller detail brush -- I use stiff bristle hog hair brushes
Paper -- 140 pound cold pressed watercolor paper (I use Arches). I will be painting about 8" x 10" If you prefer to paint on canvas, that is wonderful
