UPDATE FROM MARIO (4/21/15):
I am replacing Dan as the organizer of the Sacramento Bitcoin Meetup while he takes care of some personal issues. I am planning some activities to make this group even more exciting, like trips to the Silicon Valley and San Francisco Bitcoin Meetups (that have around 1,500 and 2,100 members respectively), local merchants to come to talk about accepting Bitcoin, "Proof of Beer" informal gatherings besides the official meetups and, last but not least, refreshments at the meetings! Feel free to ask any questions or offer any suggestions.
FROM DAN:
For 2015 we will focus on teaching bitcoin basics and security and local business adoption. We'll collaborate on contacting businesses best suited to start accepting bitcoin and how to approach them. I'll try to find a local business owner to come talk about their experience. If you are or know a local business owner that accepts bitcoin, get in touch!
