Crypto Thanksgiving - Bitcoin prizes, food, and BYOB

Join us for a Crypto Thanksgiving!

During Thanksgiving 2017, Bitcoin was racing towards all-time high prices, and more than a few conversations were had about cryptocurrency over a plate of turkey & fixin’s.

Not more than a year later bitcoin was down nearly 80% from all-time high prices, and those turkey-day conversations had turned bleak at-best.

How will 2019’s holiday crypto conversations fare?

Well, with the halving looming in 2020 the future's looking bright!

Start those turkey-week conversations on a positive note by joining your Sacramento Bitcoin Meetup fam for Crypto Thanksgiving!

We’ll be meeting on Monday the 25th at 7pm at Hacker Lab for a social meetup to share some food and talk about all things Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Plus, we’ll be announcing the winner of our survey giveaway and holding a couple of crypto-friendly contests where the winners will receive bitcoin sponsored by The Crypto Couple!

Contest 1 - The 2019 Crypto Turkey:

Come prepared with a 30-second pitch for the individual that is this year’s biggest Crypto Turkey!

What is a crypto turkey?: A stupid, foolish, or inept person. (Think somebody who is worthy of a crypto meme.)

Is it Peter Schiff, Nouriel Roubini, Craig Wright, or somebody else? Bring your best argument and attendees will vote for whomever made the best pitch for the biggest turkey in the crypto-space. The winner will receive $10 worth of bitcoin!

Contest 2 - The S-Coin or B.S. Challenge:

Think you know your sh*t coins?!

Our own Joe Ciccolo will lead a spirited game where participants will have to decide whether or not the stated coin is a real sh*t coin or merely made-up B.S. (what’s the difference really?!)

Everyone who attends the meetup will receive 1 ticket that will be placed into a random selection bowl and contestants will be chosen one at a time to come up and try their sh*t coin knowledge.

For a better chance to win and to help support future meetup events extra tickets are handed out at 1 ticket per dollar donated.

To win $10 in bitcoin, contestants must answer 3 out of 5 questions correctly. There are 3 prizes of $10 to give away. We’ll play until all prizes have been won!
