Make a Succulent Arrangement (Workshop)

Details

Lesley Shores will be giving a workshop on how to put together a succulent arrangement. Lesley has been doing cacti and succulents as a hobby for about 35 years. She especially loves succulents. She helped run the greenhouses at AridLands Nursery in Arizona with Kristi Hanson for about a year, where her love of these plants grew even more! Lesley was also President of the Stockton Cactus & Succulent Society for many years, as well as holding other offices. She and her husband Jerry have been members of our club off-and-on since the early 2000’s. They own and operate L&J Plants and Things, selling mainly at pop-up events, but have recently expanded to having In-Home “Potting Parties” where you can make your own arrangement. Lesley and Jerry both love the diversity in succulents and enjoy educating others on it too. Jerry started enjoying cacti & succulents, especially Euphorbias, around 2002. He helped propagate difficult ones for a few friends, and now specializes in Pelargoniums as well, his new passion.

Workshop Details
The club will pay for materials for members to create a small succulent planter. You get to choose from a selection of small succulents or if you want to purchase larger or more unusual plants or containers you can pay an upgrade charge for the difference between the club provided cost and the upgraded cost. If you prefer to bring your own container and plants or buy plants at the meeting that’s great! Non-members who want to participate will be charged a $20 materials fee. RSVPs are required so Lesley can have enough materials. Please reply to [Lesley_Shores2@yahoo.com](mailto:Lesley_Shores2@yahoo.com).

Lesley and Jerry will also have plants for sale. Newcomers will get a gift plant. There will be no drawing tickets sold to win plants this month and no Mini Show at this meeting to allow more time for the workshop.

Doors open at 6:30 and meeting starts at 7:00 PM. There is no admission fee. New members who join receive a free succulent and there is no cost to participate in the workshop Non-members who wish to participate in the workshop will be charged a $20 materials fee (cash required).
