Thomas Sowell on Education & Economic Disparity

I am not advocating for abolishing the US Dept of Education, but there are issues surrounding this topic that should be considered. So, from that perspective, here is an economist nominally oriented on the political right who poses some substantive arguments for why he considers the US educational system to be failing in many respects.
