Folsom South Canal (Nimbus Fish Hatchery)

Enjoy this adventure exploring a 12 mile out and back ride on Folsom's South Canal. This is a paved bike trail in open terrain, connecting southeast Sacramento County to the American River Bike Trail. The trail surface is paved asphalt at least 20 feet wide, with bumps, cracks and a painted dividing line along most of the trail. :-) Sections of this route include obstacles like gates, unmarked road crossings on high traffic roads, and inlaid railroad tracks. The trail has a 5% or less grade. Again, this will be an exploratory ride, so be open to some negotiating of the trail. I will be open to exploring further at the group's discretion. We will wait 5 minutes before start.
