Brookside History:
Situated along California's first railroad route, the original buildings were constructed in 1911 and served as a guest house for the American River Winery.
Renamed the Silva Brothers Winery after a 1919 fire burned the original buildings, the business continued successfully until 1930 when federal agents forced its closure for violating the laws of Prohibition. It re-opened as a winery/restaurant and offers a real slice of Sacramento history..!!Visit: Brookside Restaurant for menu and more information.

In 2003, Chris Simms and his father Tom Simms opened the first Lazy Dog Restaurant in Huntington Beach, California. Focused on creative scratch cooking, gracious hospitality, and unrivaled value, they set out to offer an experience that treated guests to a variety of eclectic American dishes served in a warm, lively and contemporary rustic atmosphere.Ingredients are sourced from places and farmers the owners love and respect. Each meal is made by hand each day, including all of the sauces, marinades and dressings. A seasonal menu is also available which celebrates Mother Nature's beautiful bounty.
