What we’re about
Come one and all! The Sacramento Wheelmen is a recreational road cycling club focused on getting fit, staying fit, having fun, and enjoying the company of fellow cyclists! We have group rides many days of the week - please join us!
We typically have two or more route options so riders of multiple levels are welcomed and challenged. Routes typically vary from 35 to 65 miles, with climbing as per the ride location. A coffee stop with a regroup is usually included and sometimes an after-ride gathering.
We love having guests and converting guests to Official Club Members! Official Club Members have access to coveted cycling adventures and trips that are not otherwise available. Think Napa, Guerneville, Mt. Shasta, Oregon, Europe, and beyond! If you are not an Official Club Member then you are required to sign a waiver before every ride. Out of respect for the organization (and so you don't have to sign the waiver every time), please consider joining the Sacramento Wheelmen Club after 5 guest rides - go here to become an official "Wheelie": https://sacwheelmen.wildapricot.org/ Join us to have the ride of your life!

1 attendeeFriday Coffee Ride - El Dorado
Welcome to El Dorado sign, 4500 Oriental St, El Dorado, CA, USJoin us for a fun ride from the foothill town of El Dorado to Apple Hills/Camino to enjoy coffee, pies, and other goodies at the Drew Bean Farm.
The ride primarily follows the El Dorado Trail, a former railway that has been converted into a bike path under the National Rails-to-Trails program. The incline is relatively mild, not exceeding 5%, but when we exit the trail in Camino, there are a couple of steep but short climbs. There is also a short gap on the trail, forcing us to ride through downtown Placerville for approximately a mile.
Please note that this is a joint ride with the Bike Hikers.
Additional instructions for the ride start location at 4500 Oriental St, El Dorado: The GPS will bring you from Sacramento into the town of El Dorado via Pleasant Valley Road. Turn left into Oriental Street at the “Welcome to El Dorado” sign. Stay left at the Y and follow the gravel road. At the T, turn left into the parking lot. The RWGPS file is located on the Sacramento Wheelmen website's Ride Calendar
