ABSTRACT
Vehicle-to-Grid technology, or bidirectional charging, enables an electric vehicle to discharge its battery to a home or the gird, serving as a backup energy supply. Automakers are beginning to offer vehicles enabled to with bidirectional charging functionality, using different technical approaches and integration solutions. This presentation will explore the major technical problems that need to be addressed to support widespread adoption of bidirectional charging and how these technical challenges relate to regulatory and business challenges.
