About us

This is a weekly Friday morning meeting of Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) serving the Peninsula and SFO area. We are located at the West Bay Alano Club 10 minutes from the car rental terminal and we have free parking in our lots. You will find street parking on adjoining streets. We are a 25 minute walk from San Bruno BART and we are served by the ECR bus,

SLAA is a 12-step 12-tradition fellowship for individuals seeking recovery from patterns of sex and love addiction, including unhealthy relationships, fantasy, avoidance, and compulsive romantic and/or sexual behaviors.

SLAA also provides recovery for social and emotional anorexia. Anorexia is defined by our group as a compulsive inability to give or receive emotional nourishment. In addition to sex snd love. Anorectics can be avoidant at work and in many areas of everyday living.

As a 12 step 12 tradition fellowship, anonymity is the spiritual foundation of our program.

Your privacy is respected here. You are welcome to participate using a first name, nickname, or initials only, and you are not required to share personal details. Many members choose non-identifying profile photos or minimal information.

Please respect the anonymity of others:

  • Do not disclose another member’s identity or participation outside the group
  • Do not take photos, recordings, or screenshots during meetings
  • Use private messaging thoughtfully and respectfully
  • Share only what you are comfortable sharing

  • Approximately 10 minutes from the SFO Rental Car Center

    Enter the building and follow posted signs to the meeting room. If you arrive early, you may see members gathering near the coffee area.

Informal fellowship. You are welcome to come in quietly at any time.
8:30 AM — Meeting Begins (on time)

  • One minute meditation followed by the serenity prayer.
  • Welcome and opening readings
  • Brief introductions (first names only)
  • Literature reading or speaker, 10-20 minutes
  • Topic or open sharing
  • Announcements and Seventh Tradition
  • Closing reading or prayer
    9:45 AM — Meeting Ends
    You may participate at your own comfort level, including simply listening.

🎒 What to Bring
Just yourself.
No preparation or prior experience with SLAA is required.
You do not need to speak unless you wish to.
Optional:

  • A beverage container (coffee is usually available)
  • SLAA literature, if you have it
  • An open mind

💵 Cost & Contributions
There is no fee to attend.
SLAA meetings are free of charge.
However, the Seventh Tradition of SLAA states that all groups are fully self-supporting through voluntary contributions from members.
If you wish, you may contribute to help cover rent, literature, and coffee. Many members find a contribution of around $5 to be helpful in their personal recovery, but any amount — including none — is welcome.
No one is turned away for lack of funds.

Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous is a Twelve Step, Twelve Tradition fellowship for individuals seeking recovery from patterns of sex and love addiction, including unhealthy relationships, fantasy, avoidance of intimacy, or compulsive romantic or sexual behaviors.
SLAA also offers recovery from social and emotional anorexia — a compulsive inability to give or receive emotional nourishment — which may affect relationships, work, and daily life.

☕ Atmosphere
We aim to provide a steady, welcoming space for recovery before the start of the weekend.
Coffee and informal fellowship are usually available.
Travelers and visitors are welcome.
