About us

We are going sailing. Members come to learn about sailing and actively participate in sailing the vessel, or just relax out on Galveston Bay and turn off the cell phone. Everyone is welcome to join the group, come sailing and meet new friends.
The J/105 (34') "Zippity" events will be 4-5 hour romps on the Bay going upwind and blasting back down with the spinnaker. This is an exciting ride. You'll learn about sail trim, sail handling and the team work needed to sail well.
Proper gear for the weather conditions is necessary.
Please make sure you have on proper sailing shoes or white soled tennis style shoes (bare feet ok), and clothing appropriate for the season. The Message Board has more information, too.
