Any minors need to be accompanied by an adult.
"In a world where you can be anything, be kind." Please be kind to group members and to the hosts.
Rules:
1. This is a group for practicing / speaking in Spanish. Members must make an attempt to speak in Spanish 80% of the time or more. If you don't know how to speak much Spanish, listening to others can be really helpful.
2. If someone is using English the majority of the time, then members will politely disengage and speak with someone that is using Spanish.
3. Please take turns talking.
4. Please be respectful to all skill levels. Beginners learn a lot from listening to experienced speakers, and it creates a friendly community space for everyone when advanced speaker are kind to beginners.
5. This group is a safe place for LGBTQ+ and BIPOC. All conversation will be respectful to marginalized groups.
6. I am a volunteer. I pay money to run this group and I volunteer my time to teach, organize and host events. Please consider your choice of words and their impacts when voicing concerns or messaging me. I have a busy life and many obligations, I may not be able to respond to messages for up to a week at a time, but I try to respond within a couple of days.
7. Please note, a no show is when someone is registered to attend an event, but doesn't come and doesn't communicate that they won't be making it. Two no-shows in a row result in being removed from the group.
8. If you're not happy with Salem Spanish, please feel free to remove yourself and create your own social group. If you're not happy with instruction, please feel free to stop attending and find other community resources for Spanish or pay for courses through a different provider.
9. Harassment via messaging, in person or any form of communication will not be tolerated and can result in removal.

No hace falta hablar perfectamente.
