Tuesday Night Ride @ EMo 03/10
Details
Riding season is around the corner, especially with this mild winter and EMo is always a good alternative for the night rides.
This ride is suited for intermediate and above riders. Steady climb/pace with enough rests in between to catch your breath, snacks or re-group. This a non drop ride so no riders left behind. I'm a slow climber so the majority of the group will dictate the pace. This ride will be at casual relax pace.
Even though I'll be on my accoustic
bike this is an E-bike friendly event.
Planning to meet by the school at 7:30 and be rolling at 7:35pm sharp. Eagle Mountain is a bit out of the way so plan accordingly
The intended route I’m thinking is as follows:
Meet at the school parking lot, climb up on ridgeline (Hidden Hallow) and Cow Tracks, connect with Jack rabbit and find our way towards Gunslinger, back on roadrunner towards fistful of dollars (optional) and deadwood. Climb towards the prayer flags....up and down Creed and from there back to the cars 😊....this route is what we normally ride during the season.
What do you need for this ride?
-Good Attitude
-Night riding lights (a must)...A hiking head lamp IS NOT powerful enough for night riding.
-bike and helmet (make sure your tires and bike are in good condition) -gloves and a jacket-it will be chilly at night
water and snacks for the ride.
-spare tube, mini pump, multitool for trail side repairs.
-Elbow/knee protections are highly recommended, the descents on some these trails will be fast over often rocky terrain.
There are few jumps on the mention trails, but you can go around or walk them.
Any questions? Post to the comments section of this event, or email me through the group. Hope to see you there!
P.S. I ride a black Ibis Ripley and I drive a red Honda Ridgeline
