4th of July Night Paddle • Fireworks from the Water around Downtown St. Pete

This is one of our favorite paddles of the year.

Picture warm summer water, an amazing sunset, the downtown skyline lighting up, and fireworks bursting overhead while you're floating on your board or kayak with a great group of people. It's hard to beat.

This isn't about speed or getting a workout. It's about slowing down, enjoying the evening, and taking in one of the best views St. Pete has to offer.

We'll meet at North Shore Park around 7:15 PM and paddle through the calm evening water toward Coffee Pot Bayou and nearby open areas with beautiful views of downtown. We'll stay away from the crowded pier and enjoy the show from the water instead.

Along the way, don't be surprised if we see pelicans, dolphins, or manatees. We'll catch the sunset, hang out, take photos, chat, and enjoy the city as it comes alive before the fireworks begin around 8:30/9 PM.

Bring your board or kayak, plenty of water, and a good attitude. Most people come solo, and by the end of the night it feels like paddling with old friends.

A couple of important things:

Please bring navigation or safety lights so you're visible after dark. A life jacket is required, and this paddle is best for people who are comfortable being on the water at night.

Launch: Between 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM

Fireworks: Around 9:00 PM, depending on sunset and weather.
