Welcome to Salt Life Paddle Crew.
This group is for people who already know how to paddle and want to explore the Tampa Bay area together without the pressure, competition, or tourist vibe.
The goal is simple:
Get outside. Disconnect from work. Explore Florida waters. Meet good people. Paddle together.
We’ll be exploring places around Pinellas County including St. Pete, Weedon Island, Fort De Soto, Shell Key, mangroves, springs, and calm coastal waters around Tampa Bay. We prefer relaxed water conditions, but Florida waters can change quickly, so experience and awareness matter.
This is not a class, tour company, or training group.
Nobody here is teaching professionally.
Every person is responsible for themselves, their equipment, and their safety on the water.
You must bring your own:
• Paddle board or kayak
• Paddle
• Life jacket
• Water
• Sunscreen
• Hat / sunglasses
• Transportation
This group is for paddlers with experience only.
No beginners, please.
Right now, this is a free community meetup and a pilot project to see where things go. Eventually we may offer rentals, transportation, and gear for visitors or people without equipment, but for now we’re keeping it simple:
Bring your board. Show up. Paddle. Explore.

Don’t own a paddle board or kayak yet? No problem. We know several local spots around St. Pete and Tampa Bay where you can rent boards, kayaks, life jackets, and gear. Feel free to ask the group and we’ll point you in the right direction.
