End of Summer Beach Party Blast
Details
They say Labor day is the end of Summer, but everyone in Texas knows summer doesn't end that early. Let's all head to the beach the weekend after labor day and celebrate the fact that summer is still here.
There is no fresh water, no showers and no bathrooms. This is about as rough and rugged as we get. It will still be extremely hot, so please be well hydrated before coming out and bring plenty of water with you (1-3 gallons/per day for each person is recommended).
We'll do a taco bar Friday night; pancakes, bacon and eggs Saturday morning; and grill burgers Saturday night. You're on your own for lunch and breakfast Sunday morning.
Spend the day playing in the ocean, building sand castles and jamming out to good tunes then come hang out around the bonfire after dark and enjoy the waves, cool breezes and stars at night.
Admittance to the national seashore area does require a beach pass which can be acquired here.
4WD or AWD vehicles are recommended but not required.
You are responsible for your own safety.
Please pay $20 if you'd like to partake of the evening meals and breakfast Saturday morning. Otherwise, it's free, but you're on your own for meals.
