Java Web Tokens - what Java developers need to know

Details

This month's meeting will focus on a popular application authentication and authorization approach: JWT. We'll also discuss some of the exciting news surrounding the upcoming release of Java 17.

What is a JSON Web Token (JWT) and why do you care? JWTs are a stateless, standardized way to represent user data. This talk will discuss why JWTs matter and the nuts and bolts of JWTs. We’ll also discuss how you might use a JWT in your web or other Java application and how to avoid common mistakes.

This session will be presented by Dan Moore, developer advocate for FusionAuth, a popular cross-platform identity and access management system.

This meeting will be virtual-only, so please join us using the included Zoom link.
