COLLAB WITH BULLY BUNCH: Encinitas Community Park

Join us for a structured walk about an hour at Encinitas Community Park. We’ll be co-hosting with the Bully Breed Bunch and celebrating Aaron’s birthday! They’re another local group doing incredible work to support and advocate for bully breeds and reactive dogs!

This walk will be physically easy, pretty flat on grass and sidewalk. We’ll do more structured drills to practice neutrality and maintaining calm behavior while walking past each other in different formations. All levels welcome!

We will meet at the North side of the Park in the large open field in front of the children’s playground near the skate park.

We have grown an amazing and supportive community. To keep everyone safe and promote a calm environment, by attending our walks you are expected to follow & respect our rules:

1. All dogs must remain on leash at all times, handlers must maintain a 3 foot lead. NO retractable or bungee leashes permitted.

2. NO greeting dogs inside or outside our pack until the walk is over, with permission. Please always keep dogs on leash. We know some dogs are friends, but use this time to practice following structured socialization.

3. Maintain at least a 6 foot distance to prevent nose-to-nose/tail interactions. If your dog is a beginner or reactive, we recommend taking more space if needed, by walking at the back of the pack.

4. Come prepared and advocate for your dog. Bring adequate water, poop bags, treats, etc. Monitor your dog and always do what’s best for them. If your dog is slowing down, consider stopping early. If your dog is panting, request a break to give them some water.

Our Community Pack Leaders will be leading the walk and can answer any questions that come up. We are looking forward to meeting you and your pup!
