What we’re about
Calling all electric vehicles (EV) enthusiasts! All are welcome (no need to own an EV). Getting together monthly for interesting speakers and to share all the latest on EVs--whether production models or gas-electric conversion. Some of us are newbies and some of us have deep technical skills. All of us are interested in driving electric! Check us out on:

A major problem with solar power is that the time of generation does not match up with time of use. This results in what is called the duck curve where there is an over abundance of power mid day and heavy power use in the evening. Batteries are used to store the day excess and give it back in the evening. This adds additional cost to effective use of solar systems.
But what if your vehicle's battery could be used to bridge the supply/usage gap? You've already paid for the battery; all you need is the connection. Vehicle to Grid (V2G) does not need to be used just to supply emergency power during a blackout. V2G has the potential to help both home solar and the utility grid.
Come hear Jose Torre-Bueno of the Center for Community Energy tell us how this could work and legislation moving forward so that all EVs will be V2G capable.
Be sure to RSVP so we can plan for pizza.
