Palomar Mountain: Boucher Trail, Thunder Spring, Silvercrest Trail

This weekend, let’s check out Boucher Trail, Thunder Spring, and Silvercrest Trail in Palomar Mountain State Park.
The hike is rated moderate (6 miles) on AllTrails and typically takes about 3 to 3.5 hours to complete.
The drive is approximately 1 hour and 26 minutes from San Diego. The plan is to leave San Diego at 9:00 AM and arrive at the trailhead around 10:30 AM.
Carpool Options:
Meet at the Education Center, 4100 Normal St, San Diego, CA 92103 (Parking is on Campus Drive — the large parking lot is used by the community during the weekend.)
Time: Depart at 9:00 AM
If you would like to carpool, please arrive promptly before 9:00. If you plan to carpool, you need to let me know ahead of time so I can make sure there is enough room — and so I know to stick around to drive you.
If you do not carpool, please plan to arrive at the trailhead around 10:30 AM.
Please bring plenty of water, food, and sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc.).
