Morning Forest Bathing at San Dieguito County Park County Park
San Dieguito Park - Lower Entrance, 15929 El Camino Real, Rancho Santa Fe, CA, USHave you heard of Forest Bathing?
Join certified Forest Bathing Guide, Jonathan from The Art of Noticing, for a quiet, unhurried afternoon in San Dieguito County Park. We will begin with a simple introduction to Forest Bathing, what it is, how to do it, and the benefits it can offer. After that, we will take a slow, gentle walk through coastal sage scrub, giving ourselves time to notice small details in the landscape. Our attention will be drawn to birds moving through the plants, wildflowers, shifting light, and whatever else the day offers.
The walk is about 3/4 of a mile on a dirt trail.
Please sign-up here and then click to sign the Waiver for The Art of Noticing. Thanks!
This gathering is for anyone who values calm time outdoors and wants to connect with others who feel the same. We will move at an easy pace, pausing often, and giving ourselves room to breathe and settle.
We will close with a short wind down meditation to help you take some of the day's calm into the week ahead.
Please bring:
A towel or small chair to sit on, water, a jacket, sunscreen, and a journal if you like to write. The walk will be slow, but there are some uneven sections and a few short hills. If you are interested in a nature bathing experience without a walk, please let Jonathan know.
Questions are welcome.
More about Forest Bathing: Forest Bathing is simply spending time outdoors with an open, curious attitude. We slow down, notice what is around us, and let the natural world meet us as we are. Often something small and meaningful shows up, not dramatic, just a moment you are glad you were there for.
Join us twice monthly to deepen your connection with the park’s changing seasons.
