20th Anniversary Picnic Potluck!

20 years ago this month, in July 2005, Northern California members of the Asexual Visibility and Education Network first organized a bay area ace meetup in Berkeley, kicking off what would become a recurring series of Bay Area AVEN meetups that would eventually grow and branch off into their own group - this same group that we're all members of today!

That event marked a historic moment not just for the Bay Area, but for the entire ace community, as one of the first ace communities in the US to start regularly meeting offline as well as online.

In celebration of 20 years of bay area ace community organizing, come join us for cake in the park at the location of the first known bay area ace meetup! Attendees are invited but not required to also being their own snacks and bites to share for a potluck style picnic.

We'll be meeting on the UC Berkeley campus, at the Crescent Lawn near Oxford St - just west of that first meetup's location near the West Circle road.
