What we鈥檙e about
The San Francisco Bay Area ASL Signing Space is by, for, and with the Deaf and is for everyone who is interested in learning and meeting new people through American Sign Language, which is used through out the United States and some parts of Canada. All are welcome: deaf, hard of hearing and hearing! Come meet us and practice and have fun!
This will be a signing-only environment. You may use written notes and your own body language and gestures (as you would do in a foreign country), but you're discouraged from using voice. We're creating immersive signing environment where you can learn a visual language.
Please don't be intimidated. We're nice people. We'll help you out whenever you get stuck.

Instead of Dolores Park, we're meeting at Presidio Tunnel Tops! This is because the ASL Celebration Day for Families is happening nearby, and Alan is volunteering at that event, which is free for people who are registered. They allow people to sign up at the door.
Signers of all levels welcome! Public Transit and parking are available. Come enjoy the view of the Golden Gate Bridge!
Join us, make new friends, meet them again, and help create a "signing space" with us!
Beginners are very welcome to this event. There are regularly students who show up from CCSF, Berkeley City College, and other schools during the school year.
By attending this event, you consent to be photographed. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let the organizers know.
