Heads up- I may be bringing Aspyn the dog with me this time.

Let's visit the neighborhoods of Cow Hollow and The Marina and see what fun things they may have come up with for Halloween.

We meet in front of The Marina Branch Library (restrooms) on Chestnut near Webster and begin walking PROMPTLY AT 5:30. Please arrive a few
minutes early to check in and use the facilities. The walk will take about
2 hours and will end at Chestnut near Steiner, about 2 blocks away
from our starting point. The Marina is mostly flat, but we hit some up
and down hills in Cow Hollow. About half way through there may be one restroom opportunity, but in the evening it's open inconsistently. We'll take our chances, but no promises. Plan accordingly.

We start in the Marina, head towards Cow Hollow almost to Pacific Heights, wander towards the Palace of Fine Arts and zig zag back to the Marina where we hit the big daddy of the neighborhood, Avila Street, This two-block stretch goes all out for the holiday and is definitely worth the walk to get to it. Along the way we'll seek out all sorts of decorations and displays. The tackier the better, I think! Skeletons, witches, zombies, and ghosts await us. And pumpkins. So many pumpkins.

GETTING THERE:
The Marina Branch Library is on Chestnut near Webster, part of the Moscone Recreation Center and just east of the dog run. Parking is neighborhood and can be difficult as people return home from work. You may have some luck on Fillmore, past the Marina Middle School. There are several paid parking garages nearby,

MUNI bus #30 (Stockton) lands directly in front of the library on Chestnut. Line #22 (Fillmore) ends its run a block away at Chestnut and Fillmore. Lines #43 (Masonic) and #28 (19th Avenue) are have stops one block south of that on Lombard and Fillmore.

DOGS: Friendly, well-behaved dogs are always welcome on my walks. They must remain on leash at all times. I MAY BE BRINGING A DOG WITH ME.
