On the day before Halloween, what could be more fun that a walk through a beautiful neighborhood filled with haunted mansions? Join us for a hike with some great views, interesting architecture, grand houses, and beautiful parks. We'll have the bonus of seeing some of the great homes at their creepiest.

We'll meet on the corner of WASHINGTON AND SCOTT at ALTA PLAZA PARK (for GPS, try putting in 2301 Scott Street), and begin walking at 5:30 on the dot. Please arrive a few minutes early to check in and use the restrooms (inside the park). We'll zig and zag around upper Pacific Heights, Broadway, and Presidio Heights,

This walk is easy to moderate, with a couple of up and down hills and stairways. We'll take our time and enjoy the views and the ghouls. It gets dark early, so we'll try to make it back to our starting point in under two hours.

GETTING THERE: Alta Plaza Park takes up 2 square blocks, We'll be where Washington meets Scott. Neighborhood parking can be pretty easy to find on the side streets, or there's a paid lot a few blocks away on California and Steiner next to Johnny Donuts.

Muni bus # 24 (Divisadero) stops 2 blocks away at both Divisaero and Clay, or Scott and Jackson, Line #1 (California) stops at California and Divisadero. #22 (Fillmore) stops 4 blocks away at Fillmore and Jackson.

ATTENDANCE- We ask that our members respect our RSVP attendance policy by signing up only if they intend to come, and updating their RSVP if they have a change of plans.
