Exploring Continental Philosophy with Recent Graduates

Details
Join us for a thought-provoking discussion on continental Philosophy tailored for recent graduates in the San Francisco area. We will get together to discuss the works of mostly 20th and 19th century continental philosophers. We will focus on western thinkers such as Nietzche, Heidegger, Camus, Cioran, De Beauvoir, Deleuze, Baudrillard, Marcuse, Adorno, Serres, etc…
We will have optional weekly readings and/or podcast recommendations as reference for weekly discussions.
The main goal of this group is to grapple with the challenges of life in the 21st century and navigate this by analyzing useful ideas given to us by the brilliant philosophers of the 20th and 19th century. A big part of our community is to grow our knowledge of philosophy. However, a bigger part is to grow our knowledge about ourselves and try to discover meaning (if any) in an absurd universe. We hope this will allow us to grow as people and create our own philosophies to guide our lives.
Whether you are pursuing a career in philosophy, religious studies, or simply have a curious mind eager to explore profound questions about life and existence, this event welcomes all who are passionate about delving into the complexities of human experience. Come ready to ponder, question, and reflect on the nature of the self and the universe in a welcoming and intellectually stimulating environment.
