What we’re about
Established in 1999, the San Francisco Dragon Warriors is the largest competitive dragon boat team in the Bay Area. We’re proud to offer our members and community a place to grow, compete, and have fun together. By paddling side-by-side, our teammates build meaningful, lasting friendships. Whether you’re looking to challenge yourself, meet new people, or try something new, we welcome anyone excited to be part of the dragon boating community.
WHAT TO BRING:
- No experience and/or can't swim? NO PROBLEM!
- Our team welcomes paddlers of all ages, experience and fitness levels.
- All equipment will be provided (paddles, life jackets/PFDs, and coaching).
- Please wear comfortable athletic clothing you don’t mind getting wet, apply sunscreen, bring a water bottle, and keep your valuables with you.

PRACTICE TIMES
• Sundays: 8:45 – 10:30am
From November through December, anyone interested is welcome to join our practices completely free. Once the season begins, new paddlers receive a 30-day free membership from the day you sign the waiver—our way of giving you plenty of time to get a feel for the team and the sport.
After those initial sessions, if you decide you’d like to keep paddling with us, we’ll kindly ask you to officially join the team. We’d love to have you on the water with us!
