About us
Grief touches every life, yet many people feel they have to carry it alone.
This group was created to bring together people in the San Francisco community who are interested in honest conversations about grief, healing, resilience, and rediscovering joy after loss.
Through intimate gatherings, panel conversations, author talks, and community discussions, we create space for people to share stories, learn from experts, and connect with others who understand the journey.
Events hosted through this community may include conversations with authors, physicians, counselors, and advocates who dedicate their work to helping others navigate grief and life transitions.
Whether your grief comes from the loss of a loved one, trauma, major life changes, or simply the weight of difficult seasons, you are welcome here.
Our goal is simple:
To create a warm and supportive environment where people can feel seen, heard, and reminded that healing is possible.
Our first gathering will be the San Francisco Grief Summit on April 24, hosted by USA Today bestselling author Jenny Brandemuehl, with additional speakers including bestselling author Andrea Leeb, hospice physician Dr. Dawn Gross, grief counselor Cheryl Espinosa-Jones, and a special musical performance by Kellie Rose.
We hope this community becomes a place where meaningful conversations continue long after the event ends.

San Francisco "Forever Fly Free" Grief Summit 2026
Common Space "The Loft", 3108B Fillmore Street, San Francisco, CA 94123, San Francisco, CA, USGrief can feel isolating, but healing rarely happens alone.
Join us on Friday, April 24, for the first San Francisco Grief Summit, an intimate evening of honest conversation, reflection, and connection with people who understand the many forms grief can take.
Hosted by USA Today bestselling author Jenny Brandemuehl, the summit brings together authors, physicians, grief counselors, and community members for a meaningful conversation about navigating loss, trauma, and the journey toward healing.
Jenny will share the story behind her memoir Forever Fly Free, which chronicles the five months she spent caring for her husband after a devastating small plane crash left him with life-threatening burns. After his passing, Jenny faced a profound season of grief, trauma, and rebuilding that ultimately led her to rediscover purpose, resilience, and love again.
She created this summit from a simple belief: healing grows in community. When people come together to share their stories, ask questions, and support one another, something powerful happens in the room.
Throughout the evening, guests will hear from an extraordinary group of voices who have dedicated their work to helping others navigate loss and find hope again.
Featured speakers include:
• Jenny Brandemuehl – USA Today bestselling author of Forever Fly Free
• Andrea Leeb – National bestselling author
• Dr. Dawn Gross, MD, PhD – Hospice and palliative care physician
• Cheryl Espinosa-Jones – Grief counselor and author
• Kellie Rose – Singer-songwriter offering a special musical performanceThe evening will include a guided panel discussion, audience Q&A, time for connection with fellow attendees, and a curated Summit Library featuring books from each speaker.
Our hope is simple: to create a warm, supportive space where people navigating grief can feel seen, heard, and reminded that healing and joy are still possible.
