Rain or Shine Waterfront Hike to the Richmond - 7.0 miles

We will be doing a fast-paced, moderate level point to point urban hike in San Francisco from the Ferry Building to the Richmond near Clement Street and 12th Avenue. This hike is for INTERMEDIATE HIKERS only. The route will offer wonderful views of The Embarcadero waterfront and the flora and fauna of the Presidio along a 7.0 mile route. After the hike, those interested can head to to a bar in the Richmond for libations and food (probably Scarlet Lounge).

We meet at 10:00 am outside the Ferry Building on The Embarcadero and depart promptly at 10:15 am. We will head along the waterfront via Fisherman's Wharf and Crissy Field into the Presidio, passing through the Palace of fine Arts and the LucasFilm campus to see the Yoda Fountain. We will take a break at Tunnel Tops Park to have lunch/snacks and use the restroom. From there we will head southwest through the park, hiking mainly on paved paths, to Mountain Lake Playground for one more restroom stop before exiting the park at 12th Avenue to reach our destination at Clement Street.

Bring water, sturdy shoes. Rain is predicted just before and/or on the day of hike, so dress for the weather.

Weather: We hike in intermittent showers, but cancel for heavy rain.

Directions
The meeting spot is outside the Ferry Building on The Embarcadero, below the clock tower.

• From The Embarcadero BART Station: Walk east one block. The 14 Bus and N Bus also stop close by.
• From the Richmond to return to the Ferry Building: The 38/38R Bus stops on Geary Blvd, and the 1 Bus stops on California St.
