This Meetup is for beginner-level Korean learners.
If you already have a basic understanding of Korean and want to focus more on speaking fluently and improving expression, please sign up for the Intermediate Level class instead.

Last week, we finished learning all the Korean alphabet — both vowels and consonants — along with some short sentences. Now we can start speaking Korean. Yay! 🎉

Below is the short Korean sentences we learned last time.
안녕하세요? 저는 이민수입니다. 저는 한국어 선생님이에요.
안녕하세요? 저는 스티브 윌슨입니다. 삼학년이에요.
안녕하세요? 저는 김영미예요. 저는 일학년이에요.
저는 마이클 정이에요. 저도 일학년이에요.
처음 뵙겠습니다. 만나서 반가워요.

Grammar: Equational expression (Noun 1 = Noun 2)
N1은/는 N2 이에요/예요

저는 한국어 선생님이에요.
저는 한국 사람이에요.
이것은 사과예요.

Negative Sentence
N1은/는 N2(이/가) 아니에요.
저는 미국 사람이 아니에요.
저는 학생이 아니에요.
저것은 바나나가 아니에요.

예 Yes
아니요 No
