Eureka! is an interactive science comedy show that demystifies science in a way that is relatable, educational, and entertaining. Our guest speakers lecture while comedians riff and banter with them on stage. The audience can try to win fun, silly prizes by answering the guest scientist's questions correctly.
On August 9th Eureka! will be part of the Summer of Lust Festival, the first ever festival highlighting sexually provocative & humorous performance art! We'll be exploring the hot and sizzling topic of human sexuality with an assortment of speakers ranging from academics to sex journalists.
Providing the laughs will be the hilarious comedians Jesse Hett(SF Sketchfest), Irene Tu (Crom Comedy), and Rudy Ortiz (Cobbs Comedy Club).
Our fabulous speakers will be:
Ali Fogarty, Ph.D., Stanford University, is a sociologist and sexuality and intimacy educator. She designs workshops to encourage all genders to feel empowered to explore their sexuality and communicate their desires, including How to Be a Feminist in the Bedroom, Finding Your Own Pleasure, and How to Eat Pussy like a Champ (www.howtoeatpussylikeachamp.com).
Krissy Eliot, a seasoned journalist has written sex columns for both the San Francisco Bay Guardian and The Bay Area Reporter. Taking investigative journalism often regrettably too far, she participated in myriad fringe and kinky sex activities and wrote about them from a first person perspective.
Aivy Cordova is a certified sex educator and training staff member with San Francisco Sex Information (SFSI), a non-profit organization established in 1973 to address a need for free, confidential, accurate, non-judgmental information about sex. She also has a big-girl corporate job, but it's not as exciting as giving lectures on adult entertainment and prostitution. Aivy has also performed sketch and stand-up comedy with Bindlestiff Studio since 2006.
