Join a casual Petanque get-together in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, where beginners receive hands-on lessons before friendly matches. We will lend equipment and easy to follow instructions while we welcome you this low impact French boules game. It fosters social connections through strategy, laughter, and outdoor fun. Perfect for all ages and skill levels.
Join us Sunday's at 10:30 am near the Dog Training Area (36th & Fulton entrance).
Expect one to two hours of not only instruction but all mixed doubles or triples games to 13 points.
Lessons cover throwing the cochonnet 6-10 meters away, and tossing boules with either arm while both feet are planted inside the circle. Practice pointing (landing close to the target ball) and shooting (knocking opponents away) taught by club members in small groups.
You'll enjoy the relaxed vibe and meeting locals. Accessible for all fitness levels - no running required, just precision and patience. A virtual Provencal style social hour.
