Chris Christensen is the host of Amateur Traveler, which is an award-winning travel site that focuses primarily on travel destinations. It includes a weekly audio podcast and a blog. Amateur Traveler started in 2005.
Chris was inducted into the Podcast Hall of Fame in 2025. He has won a Lowell Thomas Award for Travel Journalism from the Society of American Travel Writers and was called the "Best Independent Travel Journalist" by Travel & Leisure Magazine in their annual SMITTY Awards.
Amateur Traveler has got him invited to the Obama Whitehouse, let him be paparazzi for the pop for a day in Jordan as well as many other adventures.
Chris is also the host and creator of The Bible Study Podcast which has been in production since 2006, as well as a couple other podcasts along the way.

Each meetup takes place at Bare Bottle Brewing Company Lounge and blends beginner-friendly education, informal networking, and real conversations about growing audiences, building trust, and creating sustainable creative businesses.

A short, practical session for new and early-stage podcasters covering the basics, common mistakes, and what actually matters when starting a show.
6:00 (main meeting starts) Casual Networking Over Drinks
Unstructured time to meet fellow creators, producers, and podcast industry professionals.
6:30 Main Talk, Panel, or Q&A
A focused 30-minute conversation featuring a creator, industry expert, sponsor, or platform partner.
Community Spotlight or Live Podcasting
7:30 The final segment may include short member talks, a live local podcast recording, sponsor giveaways, or extended networking.
