About us
This is a post-colonial literature bookclub with some hard leftists discussing imperialism, the post-imperial legacy and current movements of colonialism From the subaltern literature (where the post-colonial acts more colonial than the colonialist due to an inner sense of inferiority) to the literature of the country actually breaking away from both the external & internal shackles of colonialism to modern acts of imperialism, we read books from India, the Africa continent, Latin America where colonization occurred. We place our readings in the modern context including Middle East conflicts and the pursuit of social justice This is an interesting bookclub!
